Pretty much all my rides this season have GPS tracking blips like the one shown. The orange dot indicates I'm going over 200 MPH at that instant. I used the satellite view to show I was in the open so the device should have "seen" many satellites. I'll have to go look at last year's rides more closely but the distance for known routes was pretty consistent. The ones this season are adding multiple miles to known distances. Any thoughts/fixes? see the image on r/ridewithgps on Reddit

Hi there, thanks for using Ride with GPS, and for taking the time to leave a review. Usually when we see things like this it's related to device-specific battery settings, which can interrupt recording. If you can get in touch with us at [email protected], or using the in-app support chat, we're happy to investigate. Thanks!

It's not really for navigation. Thick red lines for route discovery that can't be hidden cover the explore view. Same lines cover navigation view, you can't see where it's routing you. Google maps will show bike paths, lanes, low quality roads, etc in navigation. Ride With GPS hides all that info. Google Maps seems to be the only app that shows you the type of bike infrastructure you are being routed through.

The phone app is good for following a route you found on the Ride with GPS web site from a browser on a computer. The search in the app is very poor. It often offers a single result. I save the route on the web site and then use the phone app as backup to the bike computer. I think the app could be more full-fledged like All Trails or Trailforks.

What’s new

With this release, we've expanded the Wildfire layer to Europe and Australia, along with adding a few more details in Canada. We also now open your event list to past events if there's none upcoming or current, and have made magic link login a bit easier. We also fixed a few bugs. Happy riding!
